THE CRAFT OF HARVESTING
At La Forest, harvesting is more than tradition — it is a precise, controlled process built on expertise and respect for the plant’s natural rhythm. Each mountain herb we work with has its own optimal harvest window, determined by altitude, soil composition, and seasonal variation.
Our agronomy team monitors every stage of growth to identify the ideal point at which the plant reaches its maximum concentration of essential oils, aroma compounds, and natural color pigments.
Once harvested, the herbs are gently air-dried in shaded, temperature-controlled environments to preserve their volatile components and prevent oxidation.This low-temperature method retains not only the fragrance and vivid color of each leaf or flower but also its chemical integrity — a key factor for consistency across export batches.
After drying, every lot undergoes multi-stage sorting and cleaning, followed by batch testing for moisture levels, purity, and microbial safety.
